"Tacky the Penguin"

Our bat glyphs! This teacher loves a good glyph! :) I saw this idea on TpT so I drew, typed, and created my own.

Learning as I go & playing catch up along the way.....

I am determined to figure the "world of blogging"! I really enjoy looking at other teacher's blogs but have yet to find the joy of my own. So, this is my attempt to add some of the fun things we have been doing over the past 6 months or so! hehe! Here we go............This is a Subtraction book (idea from Mrs. Lemon's Blog) ....with the help of my teacher friends we created our own verson of Mrs. Lemon's Subtraction Book.

Some academic vocabulary (math words) for the back of the book. The students cut, colored, and glued this part.

My mentor teacher has all the cool clipart so she created the front page and the inside labels.

The students had a page of 2 digit subtraction problems that they worked out, Then, they would put them in the correct side of the book....The options are Borrow (regroup) or Don't Borrow (don't regroup)

These are my favorite 19 second graders. We are really enjoying the Christmas season. We are studying a lot about Reindeer/Caribou (resources from Mrs. Lemons blog) Also, today we reviewed verb tense...pictures to come later.
